Sunflower Farms is a family owned and operated business with decades of experience in farming, ranching, welding, and culinary arts that was formally established in 2022 by James and Edie Sager.
James was born and raised in the marshes of East Texas, where he’s been working with his hands ever since he was old enough to walk. From cattleman, to fisherman, to retiring as a master welder James has natural ability and passion to teach and live off the land.
Edie was born and raised in the mesquite fields of South Texas, where she grew up riding bulls, barrel racing, and working on their family ranch. Later in life Edie became a nurse, a professional chef, and “Islander by Choice.” Now retired, Edie has combined all of her passions from raising livestock, to baking, to growing all sorts of plants, herbs, and flowers.
Together these two have combined their like minds and common interest in building a self-sustainable and diverse business that caters to limitless possibilities
